A composition built around restraint.
The brief was simple and difficult: make something cold that still feels human. The opening had to read as air rather than citrus soda, and the drydown had to stay close enough to be personal.
Every accord was reduced until only the necessary remained. Nothing is here to impress in the first ten seconds; the composition is written for the hours after.
Best worn early, when the skin is cool and the day has not yet warmed. It carries through travel and office hours without announcing itself, and turns softer, almost woody, by evening.
A few simple habits to help your fragrance last longer and smell its best.
Start with moisturised skin
Apply after your shower on skin with an unscented moisturiser. Hydrated skin holds fragrance longer than dry skin.
Spray, don't rub
Mist from about 15 to 20 cm away and let it dry on its own. Rubbing makes the bright opening notes fade faster.
Choose your spots
Neck, collarbone, behind the ears and inner wrists are easy places to wear scent where you and others can enjoy it.
Two to three sprays is plenty
Start with 2 and add a third if you want a stronger trail. The 20 ml and 50 ml bottles take the same dose; the bigger bottle simply lasts more wears.
Perfume first, then dress
Let it dry before you dress and put on jewellery. Avoid spraying silk, satin, leather, suede, pearls or plated jewellery directly.
Can't smell it any more?
Your nose gets used to your own scent quickly, while people around you can still notice it. Wait before reapplying.
Keep it cool, dark and dry
Store it in its box in a drawer or wardrobe, away from sunlight, the bathroom and hot cars. Keep the cap on.
Patch test and sun-smart
If your skin is sensitive, try one spray on your inner forearm and wait 24 to 48 hours. Keep away from eyes and broken skin. Some of our fragrances have citrus notes such as bergamot, so on strong-sun days apply where clothing covers your skin.
Longevity varies from person to person. All our bottles are within the 100 ml cabin limit for flights; pack them upright in a clear resealable bag.
Our suggestions, not rules. Wear what you love.
Spring
- Use 2 to 3 sprays on the neck and wrists.
- Moisturise first with an unscented lotion, as spring air can still be dry in the North.
- Hold the bottle 15 to 20 cm from your skin and let it dry without rubbing.
- Mild weather suits both day and evening, so one extra spray at night is fine.
