Privacy policy.
We collect what an order needs and nothing beyond it. This page says exactly what that is.
Only what an order requires.
- 01Name, delivery address, phone number and email address, so the order can be shipped and tracked.
- 02Order history and correspondence with us, so we can help with an existing order.
- 03Payment status and the last four digits of a card or the payment reference. Full card and bank details are handled by the payment gateway and never reach us.
- 04Basic device and usage data from the website, used to keep the store working and to understand which pages are read.
- 05Photos or videos you choose to attach to a product review, and any scent preferences you share with us to personalize recommendations.
- 06The messages you send to Rohan, our support assistant, including any order number or email address you type into the chat.
- 07If you send us a note through the contact form, we keep your name, email address and message so that we can reply.
Fulfilment, support, and nothing else.
Your information is used to process and deliver your order, to contact you about that order, to handle a damage claim, and to meet tax and accounting obligations in India.
We send marketing email only to people who have asked for it. Every letter carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect order communication.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone, for any purpose.
Our service providers.
Our store and checkout run on Shopify, which stores order and customer records on our behalf. You may create an account using your email or by signing in with Google, which processes your sign-in on our behalf. Payments are processed by Razorpay and the other gateways offered at checkout, including Cash on Delivery, where no card or bank data is collected online at all. Delivery is carried out by Shiprocket, which receives only the name, address and phone number needed to complete the shipment. Invoices are generated through Zoho Invoice, which receives the name and address needed for GST-compliant billing. Email delivery and website analytics providers process the limited data required for those functions.
Rohan’s replies are generated by an AI service, Google Gemini, reached through Lovable’s AI gateway. For general questions it receives the messages in your current chat. When you are signed in and ask about your own order, the details are read from your account by our own system and are not sent to the AI service. Please do not share payment details or passwords in the chat.
Some of these providers store data outside India. Where that happens, transfers are made under the provider’s contractual safeguards.
Retention and security.
Order records are retained for as long as required under Indian tax and company law, currently eight years from the end of the financial year of the transaction. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.
The site is served over encrypted connections and access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to run the business. No system is perfect, and we will inform affected customers promptly if a breach ever affects their data.
Access, correction, deletion.
You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, or withdraw consent to marketing at any time.
Write to contact@elurearomas.in from the email address on the order. We respond within thirty days. Cookies used for analytics can also be refused in your browser settings without affecting checkout.
